Hush Hush
The story starts off with Nora, a high school sophomore whose father was murdered months before the start of the series. In her biology class she meets Patch. A bad boy with a lot of secrets. With the help of her best friend Vee Sky, she discovers Patch is a fallen angel who fell from heaven due to lust. Originally Patch is out to harm Nora, to sacrifice her because he believes if he does he will be able to feel. (Fallen Angles can not physically feel anything.) At the end of the first book Patch's descendent and Nephilim vassal, Jules aka Chauncey, tries to kill Nora as revenge against Patch. Nora sacrifices herself and Patch was given two options; become an archangel and let Nora live, or become human and have Nora die. His love for her was great enough to were he spared her life and became a fallen Angel. Also in this book it is revealed the Nora is a nephilim, a descendant of a fallen angel and human.
Crescendo
In the 2nd book Nora and Patch start to drift ways, he starts spending time with Marcie Miller, Nora's enemy. In return she starts talking to Scott Parnell, who is a Nephilim like her although he doesn’t really know it at this point. He was forced to be part of the Blackhand's army. A growing force of Nephilim whose goal is to defeat the Fallen Angles. While this is happening Nora and Patch drift further and further apart while Vee goes close to Rixon, Patch's friend and also a fallen angel. Marcie reveals to Nora and her dad and Nora's mom had an affair and that Hank Miller is really her father. Also, Nora, fed up with Patch renounces him as her guardian angel and he can no longer protect her. Patch becomes Marcie’s guardian angel and Rixon, Vee, and Nora head to Delphic Amustment Park. Scott appears with a gun and Rixon rushes Nora to an underground tunnel to protect her. Nora hears her dad’s voice telling her to touch his wing scars which transports her into a vision showing Rixon is the man who killed her dad. She tries escape and runs into Scott and tell him that he is immortal and can not die. Rixon shoots him more than once and tries to sacrifice Nora but Patch comes in and saves her after she gets shot. After Nora is released from the hospital she finds that Scott has run away because the police think he is the one who tried to hurt Nora. Patch and Nora go to his safe haven in Delphic. This book ends with Hank Miller, Nora’s real dad coming in and taking her away from Patch.
Silence
Silence begins with Nora waking up in a cemetery, she is found by Detective Basso who takes her to the hospital. She has been missing since the summer and she can’t remember the past five months of her life, so she does not remember Patch. In the hospital Nora finds out her mom is dating Hank Miller, the father of her worst enemy. Forced to go to dinner with her mom and Hank, she wonders outside and stumbles upon three fallen angles trying to force a Nephilim to swear an oath of fealty. As one of the angles was about to kill her he is stopped by Jev, who seemed to recognize Nora. Jev takes her home and she touches his wing scars and she sees a vision of Jev, Hank and a wingless Archangel. Scott comes back into town and the two of them decide to investigate Hank’s warehouse. She later goes back alone and Jev finds her. He takes her to a nightclub to escape the guards and they are discovered by the guards and go to his safe haven underneath Delphic. Here it is revealed that Jev is really Patch. It is revealed that Hank kidnapped his own daughter to use her against Patch so he would spy on the fallen angles for him. At school Nora hears her mom got a concussion and on the way to the hospital with Hank they are forced off the road and also had to go to the hospital. When she was released Scott needed help and when she got there she was taken by Hank. He gives her two options, become a Nephilim or have her and her mom die. She does not believe this and Hank explains that although he is her dad she is only part Nephilim, not pure. While in the hospital after the car accident she gave her a full blood transfusion of his blood making her into a pure blood Nephilim. With no choice Nora swears an oath and becomes immortal. After this Nora runs to Patch and tells him about the oath, she goes into his memory and learns about devilcraft. A form of magic originating from Hell. A deal was made with the Archangels and they had until sunset to kill Hank, which normally cant be done. They decide to let the archangels deal with him and as they are leaving him Nora sees Hank trying to burn Patch’s last feather, which would send him to hell. She kills him, saving Patch. She decides to tell her mom and Vee everything but at her house she sees Scott and he tells her that with Hank dead she has to lead the Nephilim army Hank started because he made Nora his heir. She doesn’t want to lead the army but because of the oath she has to or she will die.
Finale
The story starts with a meeting, where we learn Nora needs to gain trust among those in the army. One night Nora is approached by Pepper Fridberg, who turns out to be an archangel who wants to talk to Patch. Someone is blackmailing him and he thinks it is Patch. On her way home one day she is taken by three Nehpilim, who beat her up because they think she is unfit to lead and because of her relationship with Patch. They plan a fake break up, and the day before Nora and Dante start Nora’s training to get her up to par with the other Nephil. That night Nora and Patch stage their breakup, after the breakup Nora learns Marcie Miller is moving in with her and her mom because Marcie’s own mom is difficult to get along with. After the break up Vee pressures Nora to tell her the truth, saying she has secrets of her own, but Nora won’t say anything. The next time Nora and Dante train, he gives her a drink, this drink is devilcraft, and it gives her newfound strength and powers. Also during training she learns how to create illusions, invade minds, and even possess bodies for short amounts of time. Pepper then uses Patch’s phone to text Nora and kidnaps her, wanting to talk to Patch again, but she escapes. But we do learn that Blakely, the devilcraft developer is researching a weapon to kill nephilim. Nora, Patch, and Marcie try to capture Blakely, but they fail and Nora is wounded by a knife enchanted with devilcraft. And because it is enchanted the wound doesn’t heal instantly like it normally would. That night Patch tells her that she needs an antidote for the devilcraft or she will become addicted to it and it will rot her from the inside out. She mind tricks Patch into thinking she took the antidote. Patch also tells Nora he has been trying to figure out who is blackmailing Pepper. Scott and Nora confront Pepper, thinking all he really wants to do is get rid of Patch, it turns out he knows who is blackmailing him but he cant say, he just wants to offer Patch a job. Nora, Scott, and Patch go to the cementary with Pepper to try and see the blackmailer, Nora is attacked from behind and it’s Dante. He tells Nora Pepper was sent to investigate him and Blakely for using Devilcraft and also reveals he is working for the fallen angels, thinking the nephilim are a lost cause. Nora and Patch get an idea, have Pepper steal all the fallen angels’ feathers from heaven and then make them swear to never possess a body again. Scott calls and says Dante is going to let everyone know she killed Hank, but she challenges him to a duel before he can do so. Nora decides to tell Vee the truth,but she already knows because she is actually a Nephilim. Pepper delivers the feathers to Patch’s underground tunnel in Delphic, but when Scott and Nora get there he is gone and Marcie is burning all the feathers because she thinks she should be leading the army. All of the feathers, including Patch’s burn and all the angels are sent to hell. Nora still goes onto duel Dante, but the fallen angel interrupt. Rixon, escaped from hell, attacks Nora and says they either swore an oath to Dante or stayed in hell. She wounds him and finds Dante, who now has devilcraft living within him. They fight and Scott gets in the way trying to protect Nora and is killed. Nora, enraged possess Dante’s body long enough to make him fall on his own sword. She then finds Detective Basso; the man that found her is Silence. He is an archangel who was sent to eliminate devilcraft. He tells her when the time is right “go for a nice, clean cut through the middle of the mark on your wrist.” He leaves and she finds Patch, who escaped by possess Rixon long enough to get through the gates of Hell. He also tell her every angel that left was injected with devilcraft, and when it died with Dante, it killed all of the fallen angels. They make a blood oath to each other and she cut her self where Basso told her to, and when their blood mixes Patch can feel, a gift from Detective Basso. Years later we are at Vee’s wedding to a human, and he doesn’t know what she is, we learn Marcie died months earlier, five people going to her funeral. The series end with Patch and Nora leaving Vee’s wedding, going to their own private retreat.
